Surfing the Cardiff And Encinitas Area

Hey all,

Sorry for not making in posts lately, but we had to find some surf. After a less than stellar vacation to Nosara we were in search of a fix. We targeted the Cardiff and Encinitas California area for a quick weekender and scored fairly well.

The surf was about waist to chest high but lined up well with good form making for nice long rides. If you are interested in taking a vacation to the area, this is a great place to score waves and some attractions for the family. Lego Land, Sea World, and the Wild Animal Park are just a short drive from the surf spots in Cardiff and Encinitas making it a great place to take the family. Surf Report For North San Diego County Surf Spots

Surf in the San Diego north County should be about waist high today. The swell is out of the southwest at 14 seconds and could be a fun day.

The Sun Is Out And The Surf Is Mixed Up In Playa Guiones

May 29th, 2010

The sun is out today here in Playa Guiones and it looks like things are drying out a bit. The surf today looked good from the beach for our dawn patrol session but didn't turn out to be that good in the water. The sets were chest high at mid tide. The interval was short and there was a lot of chop in the water. As the tide dropped, there were a few waves that connected to the inside but few and far between.

This will be our last report from Playa Guiones as we will be heading back to the states. We hope to keep our Daily post from Guiones with the help of some local friends. It has been a blast here in Playa Guiones and Nosara and we are already planning our return. If you haven't made it here yet, this should be at the top of your list.
